Help that starts with a conversation
Confidential addiction support for Cape Town and the Western Cape.
Who we are
Drug Rehab Cape Town exists to close the gap between the moment someone decides they need help and the moment they actually get it. That gap is where most people give up - usually because they do not know who to call, what it costs, or whether their medical aid will pay.
We provide a free confidential assessment, work out which level of care and programme length fit the situation, and help arrange admission.
What we believe
Addiction is a treatable health condition. People do not use because they are weak, and they do not stop because someone shouted at them. What works is the right level of care, delivered for long enough, with the people around the person included in the process.
We are also straight with families about what treatment can and cannot do. Nobody can promise a cure, and any facility that guarantees one is selling something.
Where we work
We work with families across the Cape Town metro - the City Bowl and Atlantic Seaboard, the Southern Suburbs, the Northern Suburbs, the Helderberg basin, the West Coast corridor, the Cape Flats and the South Peninsula - and more widely across the Western Cape. Where a residential admission outside the city is the better clinical fit, we will say so.
Confidentiality
Health information is protected under South African law, including POPIA. We do not contact employers, and we do not contact family members without permission. If a medical certificate is needed for time off work, it can be issued without stating a diagnosis.
How we handle information on this site
Pages on this site are general information, not a diagnosis, and do not replace advice from a doctor or registered treatment professional. We do not publish success rates, invented statistics or facility features we cannot verify. Where a detail depends on the specific facility, we say so.
